‘A Taste of Goa’ workshop and cooking experience at my home in Jaffa

The workshop will be in English with a little bit of Hebrew if needed in my home kitchen in Jaffa.

Each person will have a full cook station to cook from start to finish

Learn how to

use spices, dry and wet masala and tadka

make a curry from scratch

fillet a fish and use the whole fish nose to tail

make daal

roll and roast Phulkas (puffed chapatis)

Among other things.

The the experience is an introduction to Goa’s love of Coconuts and its products, tamarind and vinegar, fish and more.

At the end of the cooking session you will sit to have Sheet kodi which is a Goan fish thali that you made with me.

Goan red rice

Sorak (Goan red coconut fish curry)

Denis Rava fry (marinated fish fried in semolina)

Bhende (Okra/Bamiya stuffed with dry spice and roasted)

Daal

Phulkas (roasted puffed chapatis)

Salad

Papad served with chutneys

Sol kadhi (a digestive drink made with fresh coconut and kokum)
